RCF's joint venture DAP project to cost Rs 783 cr

Projects & Development India Ltd has pegged the estimated
cost of the joint venture DAP project between Rashtriya Chemicals and
Fertilisers Ltd and Rajasthan Mines & Minerals Ltd at Rs 783 crore.
The joint venture will manufacture 850 mtpd of DAP fertiliser, will utilise
about 3.7 lakh mtpa rock phosphate from the Rajasthan company mines in
Jhamarkotra, and source about 3.5 lakh mtpa sulfuric acid from the nearby
Hindustan Zinc Ltd.
According to sources, the project cost has been arrived at on the basis of
lumpsum turnkey bidding for phosphoric acid and DAP plant and budgetary costs
plus in-house cost data for off-sites by PDIL.
RCF has also received technical bids from Uhde India Ltd at a value of Rs 365.23
crore, and has proposed to its board of directors to recommend the company as
the most preferred bidder for the project.
