Larsen & Toubro Ltd has bagged orders worth Rs 344 crore from
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd for the construction of 755 km of
transmission lines associated with the Western Region System Strengthening
Scheme (Phase II).
The scope of work involves survey, fabrication and supply of towers as well as
erection of 400kV direct current (DC) transmission lines from
Bhadrawati-Umarkhand-Parli and Raipur-Sakoli-Wardha district in Maharashtra.
The contract won for transmission lines amidst international competition is
scheduled for completion within 30 months.
