Beacon light for pumping liquid



Beacon Weir Ltd started as a joint venture in 1982 with equity participation by Best and Crompton Engineering Ltd, a renowned company in the field of hydraulics and electrical engineering and M/s. Weir Pumps Ltd, UK, one of the largest pump manufacturers in Europe.
The name of the company has been changed from Beacon Weir Ltd to Beacon Industries & Pumps Ltd on March 29, 2008.
The company employs over 250 people at their factory in Tamil Nadu and has a well-established network of consultants/dealers/agents throughout India. It manufactures a comprehensive range of centrifugal pumps, with a wide variety of material of constructions such as CI/SS/FB/ CD4MCU/ CA6NM/ NIRESIST-D2/WORDHITE/2-2.5 per cent NICI/NIHARD/ ALLOY20 (CN 7 M) /AB2 from the smallest to the largest capacities needed for the following: Power stations, oil refineries, steel & cement industries, water supply and sewage treatment plants, fire fighting applications, sea water applications -- desalination plants and RO plants, coal & mining industries, sugar and paper industries, marine applications.
BIPL is one of the best equipped companies in the world for meeting the needs of customers in every aspect of pump design, selection, manufacture, testing and after-sales-service.
Best and Crompton Engineering, a multi-divisional engineering company, have been successfully manufacturing and marketing 'Beacon' range of pumps for three decades in technical collaboration with Worthington Simpson Limited, UK from its Bangalore unit.
With 100 years of Weir's experience and 30 years of Best & Crompton's experience in pumps, BIPL is now capable of manufacturing a new range of rugged, efficient and invincible pumps.
The company has manufactured and supplied centrifugal pumps to ultimate users either directly or through contractors (like Voltas, ABB, Blue Star, IVRCL, Thyssen, DCIPS, Indure, etc.) or through the network of dealers. It has under its fold many valued customers like Indian navy, NTPC, Bhel, Tata Chemicals, Grasim Industries, BARC, Reliance, Essar, Sail, etc. and the pumps have been supplied to a wide spectrum of industrial segments across the country. BIPL has also been well accepted by premier inspection agencies like NTPC, Engineers India Ltd., SGS, Bax Council, etc.
BIPL has also now ventured into turnkey projects.
BIPL Quality Control Programme commences right from material receipt stage through assembly and testing, with stage inspection. The entire production is done with standard jigs, fixtures and gauges in batch quantities. The company is equipped with a full-fledged standards room for a periodical precise inspection of all testing instruments, gauges, jigs and fixtures.
BIPL is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company by LRQA. It has a self-certification clearance issued by GoI based on quality assurance and control systems in place.
