Bangalore to host BuildArch and Build Up 2008

The Confederation of Indian Industry, Bangalore International Exhibition Centre and Deutsche Mess, Hannover, Germany, will jointly organise BuildArch 2008 and Build Up 2008, at the Bangalore Exhibition Centre from October 21 to 24, 2008.
Speaking on the event at the roadshow organised by CII in Chennai, J.P. Nayak, Chairman, BuildArch 2008, and President, Machinery & Industrial Products, Larsen & Toubro Ltd, said, "BuildArch 2008 is initiated to showcase cutting edge technologies in architecture, building and construction sector under one roof. The event is designed to offer complete solutions in buildings and building construction and also highlighting critical policy issues that need to be addressed to realise the immense growth potential in the sector."
India's real estate sector is estimated to touch $90 billion by 2015 along with the estimated planned investment of $456 billion over 2007-12 and an expected growth of 7-8 per cent GDP.
Prakash Chalia, Member, Build Up 2008 Steering Committee, and Managing Director, SSPDL Group, noted, "These two premier events will go a long way to boost the real estate sector as well as the architecture, building and construction community in India."
