IOCL to complete MSQ projects in 2010
Indian Oil Corporation Ltd aims to complete its three MS
quality upgradation projects at Barauni, Guwahati and Digboi refineries in early
2010. The cost of the projects has been pegged at Rs 1,492 crore, Rs 372 crore
and Rs 356 crore, respectively.
The MSQ upgradation project at Barauni refinery consists of the installation of
an isomerisation unit (126 kilo-tonnes per annum), an FCC gasoline
desulphurisation unit (322 ktpa), CRU revamp (300 ktpa), a naphtha hydro-treater
(183 ktpa), a reformate splitter (1,274 ktpa) and an H2 unit including reformer
(20 ktpa).
The project at Guwahati refinery entails installing a 45-ktpa isomerisation unit
and naphtha hydro-treater units; a 70-ktpa naphtha splitter unit and a 55- ktpa
lndmax gasoline unit.
The project at Digboi refinery consists of installing a 47-ktpa isomerisation
unit and naphtha hydro-treater units, a 130-ktpa naphtha spilter unit and an
82-ktpa reformate splitter.
