Vadodara-based Environ Engineering Company offers a wide range of wastewater treatment equipment as well as solutions such as oil separators, clariflocculators, agitators, aerators and bar screens. Environ is the brand for the products. The company’s R&D centre continuously upgrades and improves the quality of its products. "We are the only company to offer oxygen transfer testing facility for aerators, wherein oxygen transfer efficiency of aerators reaches up to 2.2 kg of oxygen per hp per hour," said Kumar Thakore, Director, Environ Engineering Company. The aerators were more energy efficient, consumed less energy and helped in more oxygen transfer, he claimed.
The company caters mainly SEZ, pharmaceutical and textile sectors. Its products also go to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.

Current orders
u Supply of equipment for a 35-mld common effluent treatment plant in the SEZ coming up at Mundra, Gujarat. The equipment includes indigenously designed aerators, agitators and clarifiers for the plant. The order value is Rs 75 lakh
u The company is offering Hyderabad-based Natco Pharma an effluent treatment plant of about 800 cubic metres per day. The order value is of Rs 35 lakh.
u For Frigario Alana Foods Ltd, Mumbai, Environ is offering complete effluent treatment plant of about 500 cubic metres per day. The order value is around Rs 30 lakh.
All these orders will be executed by December 2008. Several other contracts are in pipeline.
