GoM defers decision on Noida airport
PM News Bureau
An empowered group of ministers has deferred its decision on
the Greater Noida international airport, which would be the second in the NCR
after the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. Union Civil Aviation
Minister, Praful Patel, said that more inputs were required to come to a final
decision. A report prepared by the Attorney General Milon Banerjee was
considered at the meeting. The Noida airport was proposed by the Uttar Pradesh
government and is to be part of the Rs 5,000-crore Taj International Aviation
Hub proposed at Jhevar, some 60 km from New Delhi.
