PM News Bureau

Ongc Ltd has signed an MoU with Arrow Energy, Australia, for cooperation in the area of coal bed methane. The two companies will jointly participate in India and abroad for exploration, development and production of CBM. The pact also covers sharing of knowledge, experience and transfer of technology.
Arrow is already involved in CBM-related activities in India. It has signed production sharing contracts for three CBM blocks—two in Chhattisgarh and one in Jharkhand—aggregating 1,561 km2. The total resource potential in these blocks is an estimated 331 billion m3. Arrow is the operator of each of the three blocks with Gail (India) Ltd, EIG Energy India Group AB and Tata Petrodyne being other stakeholders.
Arrow Energy is an integrated energy company with worldwide interests in coal seam gas developments, pipeline assets, electricity generation and investments in LNG projects.
