ONGC signs pact with Arrow Energy

Ongc Ltd has signed an MoU with Arrow Energy, Australia, for
cooperation in the area of coal bed methane. The two companies will jointly
participate in India and abroad for exploration, development and production of
CBM. The pact also covers sharing of knowledge, experience and transfer of
technology.
Arrow is already involved in CBM-related activities in India. It has signed
production sharing contracts for three CBM blocks—two in Chhattisgarh and one in
Jharkhand—aggregating 1,561 km2. The total resource potential in these blocks is
an estimated 331 billion m3. Arrow is the operator of each of the three blocks
with Gail (India) Ltd, EIG Energy India Group AB and Tata Petrodyne being other
stakeholders.
Arrow Energy is an integrated energy company with worldwide interests in coal
seam gas developments, pipeline assets, electricity generation and investments
in LNG projects.
