Hardy Oil ties up with ONGC, Reliance

A fully owned subsidiary of Jehan Energy Ltd, UK, Hardy Exploration & Production (India) Ltd is involved in the exploration and production ventures in PV-3 Field off the east coast of India along with ONGC, Tata Petrodyne and Hindustan Oil Exploration.

The operations conducted in water depths of 90-110 meters are amongst the deepest producing fields in India. The field went on stream in July 1997.

The company is also developing another field CY-OS/2, another proven gas field, along the same coast. The drilling of an exploration is expected in 2001.

Hardy Exploration has also carried out exploration and drilling campaigns in Krishna Godavari, Cambay and Cauvery blocks.

In the recent round of bidding, Hardy Oil has tied up with Reliance in six of the eight deep-water blocks on offer, including two in Kerala-Konkan, Gujarat-Saurashtra and Mumbai basin. Along with Reliance the consortium has bid for a total of 15 blocks.
