Industry must maximise production
There is an urgent need for change. Shackles on efficient products need to be removed. Industry must be told to maximise production. The subsidies to industry may be removed and financial support provided to the farmer. If the reimbursement to the farmer is based on the quantum of production and on marketable surplus he will have the incentive to produce more.
We as a nation must make it easy for the farmer to produce more. And towards this goal provide him the wherewithal in the form of better quality inputs, skills and knowledge of best practices and finance.
