Escorts JCB
Escorts JCB Ltd is a 60:40 joint venture between JC Bamford Excavators Ltd, UK, and Escorts group, established in 1979. With a client base of over 7,000 customers, Escorts JCB is the highest selling company in the Indian earthmoving and construction equipment industry. The company manufactures loading, grading, dozing, grabbing, ditch cleaning, back filling, trenching, high stacking, rough terrain forklift duties, face shoveling, and rock breaking machines. The company has a dealer network of 120 spread all over the country.
The company has planned an expansion programme with an overall investment of Rs 350 crore over the next four to five years. Following the expansion, EJCB's capacity would increase from the present volume of 3,000 units to 5,000 units annually. The company is also planning to introduce a new product next year, in the seven-tonne range of its highly popular 20-tonne JCB JS 200L Tracked Excavator.
EJCB is likely to become a wholly owned subsidiary of JC Bamford Excavators as Escorts group plans to eventually move out of this joint venture.
