Power project in Kannur
By A Business Correspondent
The Kerala government has decided to sanction a hydel power project in Kannur district of the state. Phase II of the Kayamkulam Super Thermal Power Station would be implemented with LNG as fuel. This would bring down the cost of electricity produced by the station, which currently uses naphtha as fuel, said Muraleedharan, MP, and president of the state Congress. Muraleedharan sought more investments in Kerala from NRIs based in the Gulf and said the state government was committed to safeguarding their interests.
