Water flows through Gujarat pipeline

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the 108.5-km long water pipeline at Maliya near Rajkot. The Rs 208 crore project was executed by the Essar Group one-and-a-half months ahead of schedule. The project included construction of sumps, pump houses and electrical works, including two 66 kV substations and supplying, manufacturing and laying steel pipelines with finished diameter of 2,200 mm, from Maliya to Morvi and from Morvi to Guaridad via Tankara.
