HCC submits Delhi Metro design
Hindustan Construction Ltd has submitted definitive design for approval to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. In February 2001, the HCC consortium was selected to implement package I, that is construction of an underground corridor from Central University to ISBT. The consortium consists of Kamagai Guni, Japan, Skanska International & Civil Engineering AB, Sweden, HCC and Itochu Corporation, Japan.
The company has also commenced sheet piling in three out of four sections. In the second section construction of retaining wall has been taken up by the company. The project is a part of Rs 8,100 crore Delhi Metro Railway Project.
