Ranjit Sagar Dam tunnel opened

The T-2 tunnel of Ranjit Sagar Dam has fully commenced operations recently. The tunnel is part of the Rs 3,800 crore main dam, work on which was completed in December 2000. The dam, apart from providing irrigation water, also has potential to generate 600 mw power.
