Rahejas to build convention centre in Hyderabad

The Raheja Real Estate Group of Mumbai will build Asia's largest convention centre near the Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad. A MoU has been signed with the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the Rs 600-crore project which comprises a plenary hall with a capacity to accommodate 5,000 viewers and office space of 40 lakh sq. ft. The convention centre will have state-of-the-art audio-visual and other sophisticated equipment, ample exhibition facilities, food centres cafeterias, restaurants and other support services.
The government is offering 250 acres of prime land for the project at Manikonda village, adjacent to the Indian School of Business. The AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation is the nodal agency for executing the project on behalf of the state government.
