Hercules Hoists
Hercules Hoists Ltd, established in the year 1962, is a specialised manufacturer of material handling equipment in the country. Selling its products under the brand name 'Indef', Hercules Hoists is a part of the eminent Bajaj Group. An ISO 9001 company, Hercules Hoists manufactures chain pulley blocks, chain electric hoists, wire rope hoists, trolleys, EOT/HOT cranes, light profile crane systems, stacker cranes, lever hoists, roll out racks and winches. The company has obtained from M/s Bull S.R.L, Italy, knowhow for compact chain electric hoist and wire rope hoist.
Earlier, Hercules Hoists was purely a manufacturing company and its products were marketed by Batliboi. Now its products are marketed by Indef Marketing Services Ltd, which has a network of dedicated 43 authorised marketing associates, 100 dealers, service agents and liasioning agents. The company's client list is like a who's who of the automobile, steel, power and cement industries. The company has about 38 per cent market share in chain pulley blocks, 9 per cent in wire rope electric hoists and 72 per cent in chain electric hoists.
