Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd, a PSU, was established in 1958 as the largest Integrated Engineering Industrial Complex in India with excellent design, engineering and manufacturing base. The company is engaged in the manufacture and supply of capital equipment, machine tools and spares for core sector industries. The company has three manufacturing units, namely foundry forge unit, heavy machine building unit and heavy machine tools plant, and a projects and consultancy division. It is a major supplier to steel, defence, power, aluminium, mining sectors and the railways.
The company manufactures EOT cranes, ladle cranes, rotating trolley tong cranes, rotating tong cranes, soaking pit cranes, magnet grab cranes, plate handling and searing cranes and bridge reloader and grab cranes. The company also manufactures hoist motors, drag motors, swing motors and walk motors.
