Excavation works at Tirunelveli

The Public Works Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu is undertaking excavation of balance work at left and right canal Nambiar Reservoir Project in Radhapuram Taluk of Tirunelveli district. This includes the distribution system, including the lining of the main canals. The project is a part of the Tamil Nadu Water Resources Consolidation Project, which is partly funded by the International Development Association. The total cost of the project is estimated to be Rs 3.6 crore. The project is expected to be completed within nine months. The tendering process for the project is already underway.
