Munjal Showa plans new plant

By A Business Correspondent

Munjal Showa Ltd, which manufactures shock absorbers, telescopic front forks and struts primarily for its group company Hero Honda, the market leader in motorcycles, has decided to set up a new plant at Mansesar, Gurgaon, to meet the increased demand for its products. The factory would be commissioned in a year-and-a-half at a cost of Rs 25 crore. Munjal Showa will meet the outlay through internal resources.

The fate of the proposed Greenfield project would, however, depend on receiving the necessary clearances. If the clearances don't come through the company plans to go in for a Rs 10 crore Brownfield expansion of its plant.
