New track-mounted mobile screen
Metso Minerals, the leading international manufacturer of crushing and screening equipment, has launched the Nordberg ST171, a self-propelled, track-mounted, conveyor equipped mobile screening plant that provides the ideal solution for applications requiring high production.
The Nordberg ST171 is the first mobile screen to feature Metso Minerals' SmartScreen technology where all start-up and shut down sequences, movement, machine performance and engine monitoring is automated. The unit is also equipped with Metso's patented convertible shakerhead which can accommodate either woven screen mesh, perforated plates, fingers or grid bars. This increases the unit's versatility and allows the machine to screen a wide and varied range of materials. The shakerhead also features forward and reverse motion for maximum screening efficiency. The ST171 also has the option of an adjustable grid bar system.
The Nordberg ST171 has a unique tilting screen, adjustable from 0 - 300, for more efficient screening as well as increased production. This tilting motion also allows the operator to easily and effectively clear debris from the decks. An on-board PLC control system enables the engine, conveyors and shakerhead to be started in correct sequence with aid of a single button, from either the PLC control panel or the radio remote control.
