TCS-CMC bags Adani Port computerisation project
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and CMC, India's premier information technology company,( now in the Tatas fold) have jointly bagged the project for an 'integrated port management system' from Adani Ports Limited - for the computerisation of its bulk cargo needs for the port in Mundra in the Kutch district of Gujarat.
Adani, among the first private ports to be set up in India, has capabilities of bulk and container handling facilities, with drafts deep enough to accommodate large vessels. CMC with its proven competencies in the ports and cargo area for the last decade, will update its cargo logistics management product to meet the requirements of ports in India and abroad.
