Tata Consultancy Services and CMC, India's premier IT company (now in the Tatas fold), have jointly bagged the project for an "integrated port management system" from Adani Ports Ltd involving the computerisation of bulk cargo needs for its Mundra Port in Kachchh district of Gujarat.
Mundra, one of the first private ports to be set up in India, has bulk and container-handling facilities, with drafts deep enough to accommodate large vessels.
