Esab India Ltd has introduced "Marathon Pac", a bulk pack for welding wire which makes it possible to weld for long periods without stopping to replace bobbins or spools. The company's premium Carbon Steel MIG Welding Wire, Esab MW1, is available in Marathon Packs of 100 kg/200 kg, which is suitable for semi-automatic, conventional automation and robotic welding applications. 
    Marathon Pac facilitates running extended shifts, fewer rejects and repair of weld defects, less stoppage and disruptions, lower wear part (torch consumables) gas consumption, and reduced post-weld service requirements. Applications include welding of industrial, automotive, construction and mining equipment, railway wagons, boggies and ships; single pass welds on sheet metal; multipass welds on thick steel sections; and, welding on metals with a medium- to high presence of dirt, rust, mill scale.
