Romanian company Petrom SA in partnership with Essar is awaiting approval from the Defence Ministry to export the 2D seismic acquisition (proces-sed and raw data) for special processing in their in-house lab in Romania. 
    Petrom SA entered into a partnership with Essar as a designated operator for the second phase of exploration of BB-OS/5 off the coast of south Saurashtra, Gujarat. Phase-II involving the drilling of one well is rescheduled for late November. 
    Petrom had earlier applied to the ministry for acquiring a 51 per cent stake in the joint venture with Essar for the third phase exploration. Currently, it holds 21 per cent stake in the joint venture with Essar holding the balance 79 per cent.
