MRTS extension in Chennai
Tamil Nadu has submitted a proposal to the Union Railway Ministry for extension of Chennai MRTS beyond Velacheri up to St Thomas Mount. The MRTS Scheme is being executed in phases, of which phase-II, from Tirumailai to Velacheri, is in progress. The execution of the proposal for phase-III, from Velacheri to St Thomas Mount, depends on its financial viability, availability of resources and requisite clearances.

Ulsoor lake to be restored
The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike is undertaking a Rs 7.38 crore project for restoration of Ulsoor lake in the city within eight months. Work comprises de-watering the tank, desilting of tank, construction of earthen bunds, construction of waste weir, submerged weir, scour sluice, laying of NP-3, pipes, breaching of bund etc.

Suspension bridge over Zuari
The Goa government is working on a plan to construct a parallel bridge to the existing one over river Zuari. A Danish company has been roped in to provide assistance in building the suspension bridge like the Howrah bridge over river Hoogly in Kolkata. The Centre has okayed the bridge plan and has, reportedly, retained experts to prepare a DPR. 

Global trade centres in Kerala
Kochi and Kozhikode will have an international trade centre each next year. Both projects will be developed on a BOT basis.
