The Government of Jharkhand has appointed the Delhi-based Operation Research Group (ORG) as consultants for the planning of Greater Ranchi city. The government has taken more than a year to process the submitted bids. ORG will conduct a survey of various vacant areas and prepare a detailed design and plan of the proposed city. 
    It will also have to prepare a phased development strategy, resources planning and marketing strategy to include private participation.
