Airport Projects In India

. Hyderabad Airport The project aimed at strengthening of runway for operation of wide-bodied jet aircraft has been taken up at Hyderabad airport is likely to be Rs.70 crore and completed during 2004-05. After completion, more number of airlines will get the benefit to operate their aircraft with less pay load penalty. Vishakhapatnam Airport Action has also been initiated for construction of a new runway of 10,000 feet length, civil and naval apron along with ground lighting facilities and Instrument Landing System (ILS) at Vishakhapatnam airport at an estimated cost of Rs.158 crore jointly by Indian Navy, Airports Authority of India and State Government of Andhra Pradesh After completion, wide bodied aircraft would be able to operate on international sector also in all weather conditions.  Dehradun Airport  The project concerning the upgradation of Dehradun Airport is likely to be taken up once the land availability problems is sorted out by the State Government of Uttranchal. The project outlay of Rs.64 crore will allow  B-737/A-320 type aircraft to operate. The operation of these aircrafts will give boost to development of tourism and economy in the area.
