KSB Pumps: Widest range of centrifugal pumps

KSB Pumps, incorporated in 1960 by KSB AG, Germany, is one of the largest manufacturers of power driven pumps and industrial valves. Nearly 84 per cent of the company's turnover comes from pumps and the rest from valves. For the year 2002, the company manufactured 67,057 pumps and 1,15,593 valves.
The main products exported by KSB are water, multi-stage and coolant pumps. As for the USP of the company, Y.I. Buch, Deputy General Manager (Marketing), KSB Pumps Ltd, says, "We have inherited a great legacy of the world's leading pump makers, KSB AG of West Germany, established 129 years ago, i.e. in 1873. We are the most technologically advanced and globally competitive makers of pumps."
Buch adds further, "We have a free flow of technical collaboration with our parent company, KSB AG, for any latest models of pumps made by them. We don't even need any license or permit for the same. Besides, even for KSB AG, India is one of the main sources of components like valves etc. We dominate the market simply because we have the widest range of centrifugal pumps, starting from a standard pump for your house to engineer pumps used in nuclear power stations."
"To be the best in the market is our marketing strategy and always innovating is our future plan," Buch sums up, "As we believe, if you stop, you would be swallowed by rivals but if you keep running, at the most you would be bitten by them."
