Rihand-Ballabgarh line by end 2004



The completion of the 400-kV Rihand-Ballabgarh transmission corridor by end 2004 will provide an alternative corridor for power supply to Delhi. PGCIL is implementing the transmission line that involves carrying direct current from NTPC's Rihand power project to Ballabgarh near Delhi via Allahabad and Mainpuri. The line, estimated to cost Rs 1,000 crore, will have a carrying capacity of 1,000 mw. l
