HZL to expand refined lead capacity

Hindustan Zinc Ltd is expanding its refined lead capacity at Chanderia Lead Zinc Smelter at Putholi, Rajasthan, from the present 35,000 mtpa to 85,000 mtpa using Ausmelt technology. Meanwhile, HZL has invited tenders for auxiliary jobs pertaining to the Chanderiya zinc smelter project in Chittorgarh of Rajasthan. It has invited bids for a turnkey contract relating to field wiring and integration of existing SCADA control systems and software at the sinter and acid plant. Annual contracts for removal and transportation of slag have also been sought.
