Work on Karnataka's 8,900-km highways

Work on the development Karnataka's 8,900-km long state highways is expected to commence soon as it has been sent to the finance state department from the department of public works. The total cost of the project is about Rs 70 crore. As for the development of National Highways, work on the conversion of Bangalore-Hosur and Bangalore-Nelamangala sections to eight lanes and Nelamangala-Hassan section to four lanes will begin in the first week of April.
