NRL may export diesel to Myanmar

PM News Bureau

Numaligarh Refinery Ltd is likely to export diesel to Myanmar soon, and is in talks with the Myanmar Petroleum Product Enterprise (MPPE) to finalise the deal.
Myanmar is keen to buy product from NRL in order to reduce transportation cost. The entire demand of North-West Myanmar can be met by transporting the product through road via Moreh-Tamu border. Currently, the total demand for petroleum products in Myanmar is around 3.5 million metric tonnes per annum.
