Aluminum plant proposed in Sidhi

The Aditya Birla Group has proposed to set up a Rs. 7,700 crore aluminium smelter plant in Sidhi district in MP. Top officials of Hindalco recently met Chief Minister Babulal Gaur. A smelter plant and a 600 mw capacity thermal powerhouse will be set up, and development of a coal mine will be carried out with the proposed investment. The Birla group has submitted applications for necessary approvals and sanctions.
