EIL plans JV in Algeria

Engineers India Ltd seems to have high stakes in Algeria. The company is likely to set up 50:50 joint venture engineering services company in Algeria with Sonatrach as its partner. A high level team of EIL will visit the country soon for this purpose. The EIL team will also sign a $20 million contract for the Skikda refinery modenisation project of NAFTEC. There is also a possibility of EIL being selected as the project management consultant for the upgradation and modernisation of the Algiers Refinery and expansion of an LNG plant at Skikda.
