Pune to beautify Mula-Mutha rivers

The Pune Municipal Corporation is looking out for a private consultant to prepare a detailed project report to beautify Mula and Mutha rivers under the National River Conservation Programme. Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran is the nodal agency for these projects, while the Centre has made financial provision under the National River Conservation Programme in the 10th and 11th five-year plan.
The programme includes replacing old sewerage pipelines, updating pumping stations, installing sewage treatment plants, constructing a bund at Mundhwa and managing solid
waste.
