MCD to miss toll plaza deadline

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi may not be able to meet the June-end deadline to set up nine toll plazas on all the major highways entering the city. It may be recalled that the Supreme Court had directed MCD to set up these toll plazas by this month-end. Of the nine toll plazas, six have already been installed. The toll plaza at Kalindi Kunj is facing land acquisition problem as land on which proposed it is to be built belongs to the UP irrigation department. The toll plaza on Kapashera border may be ready by mid-July. A toll plaza will be put up at Mandoli Border this month.
