Taluk roads to be developed



Taluk roads at Channapatna in Karnataka will be developed with financial assistance from the Centre. The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs 10 crore.
Road metaling works on the Vandarguppe-Patlu stretch of the taluk, which is being implemented through Nabard and executed by the state PWD at a cost of Rs 75 lakh, has been sanctioned by the Union surface transport ministry. It has also approved a Rs 1.80 crore plan for developing the Hongnur-Iggalur stretch. Work will begin on various roads, including Kestur road in Bairapattna.
