Rail projects in MP

The construction work on the railway line between Lalitpur-Satna, Rewa-Singrauli and Mahoba-Khajuraho (541 km) has been taken up in phases. The final location survey from Lalitpur to Khajuraho (167.5 km) and Mahoba-Khajuraho (65 km) has been completed. On Satna-Khajuraho (116 km) and Rewa-Singrauli (191.6 km) section, the final location survey has been completed to the extent of 50 km and 130 km, respectively. Earthwork and bridge works have commenced and land has been acquired.
The cost of the project is estimated at Rs 925 crore and an amount of Rs 51 crore has been spend up to March 2005.
