Beautification of Hogenakkal Falls

The Tamil Nadu government intends to spend Rs 1.5 crore for the beautification of Hogenakkal Falls. The state Tourist Department hopes to develop Hogenakkal in Dharmapuri district as a major health resort. The beautification plan includes building infrastructure, roads, bathing ghats, safety towers, illumination of entire falls area, children's park and basic facilities such as dormitory, toilets and restrooms.
The entire beautification project is expected to take six months for completion. The government will also provide Rs 35 lakh for upgradation of roads connecting Hegenakkal Falls.
