Sanjay_Londhe_BigSanjay P Londhe, Director & CEO Projects, Ashoka Buildcon Ltd has been awarded as ‘Engineer of the Year 2014’ by the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific recently at an event in Beijing in China. Londhe has been awarded this title for his lifetime contributions to the engineering profession in the Asia region. Londhe is one of the few Indian Engineers to be bestowed with this award.

The Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific is an international non-profit professional organization. It was established following an exploratory meeting convened and organised by the Engineering Institute of Thailand under the King’s Patronage with the support of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation.

Sanjay Londhe holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and also obtained F.I.E.- Civil Degree. He has over 27 years of experience in construction engineering.

Londhe has been associated with Ashoka Buildcon Ltd for over 25 years. Londhe has been instrumental in the successful completion of several landmark projects executed by the company, which includes the recently completed Twin bridges across River Roopnarayan in West Bengal (part of the Rs2,000 crore worth Dhunkuni Kharagpur project).

Prior to joining the Ashoka Group, Sanjay P. Londhe has worked with Tata Consulting Engineers for four years. Sanjay P. Londhe supervised the construction of significant projects such as the Indore-Edelabad road project and the Pune-Shirur road project. He has also supervised EPC projects such as the ECR project.

Expressing his delight on winning the award, Londhe says, ‘This Award is not just for me, it belongs to all my team members at Ashoka Buildcon who have worked hand in hand to create new benchmarks in infrastructure development.”
