We are confident that for now the government will facilitate infrastructure development. They have already started debottlenecking the hurdles. The statement and action taken is pro-growth in the infrastructure industry. Railway connectivity projects and river linking projects are all massive infrastructure projects.

We want reforms in project industry, climate stability, business confidence, and transparency in policies pertaining to environment and industry that can promote and encourage manufacturing and entrepreneurial spirit.

What steps can the government take that will benefit your company’s field of activity, namely crushing, screening, grinding and heavy equipment?
Investing in infrastructure will definitely help our industry. Proman as a quality crushing and screening equipment manufacturer wants a level playing ground in term of taxes and duties vis-à-vis other states. Also, protection ought to be given to domestic manufacturers against dumping of cheap inferior quality goods from countries like China.

Is availability of finance or bank lending an issue for your segment of the industry?
Due to slowdown on infrastructure industry many crusher owner have defaulted in their payment to the finance company. In the last couple of months banks and finance companies are very cautious or slow in responding to funding needs of the construction industry.
