Jewar International AirportAdani Enterprises, Delhi International Airport (DIAL), Zurich Airport International and Anchorage Infrastructure Investments Holdings have participated in bidding for the proposed Jewar International Airport.

A global tender was floated to hire a developer for the proposed greenfield Jewar International Airport on 30 May 2019 by the Noida International Airport (NIAL).

Technical bids for selection of a concessionaire for the airport were opened at the office of NIAL in Greater Noida. The evaluation for bidders for technical qualification as developer for the airport will be done and a concessionaire will be finalised on the basis of that on 29 November 2019.

A separate financial bid for the airport will be opened on 29 November 2019. The bidding is being done as cost per passenger and the bidder with the highest proposal to fit all parameters will be selected.

With detailed documents received from the prospective bidders, the airport consultant PWE will evaluate qualifications and present a report to NIAL in a week’s time. Following this, the report will be presented to the Project Monitoring and Implementation Committee (PMIC) and a decision will be taken on selection of the concessionaire.

The proposed airport will come up over 5,000 ha of land parcel and cost an estimated Rs 29,560 crore. Phase-I of the project will spread over 1,334 ha and cost Rs 4,588 crore. It is expected to be completed by 2023.
