Uttar Pradesh govt nod for name, design, logo of Noida International Greenfield AirportUttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has approved design, name and logo of the international airport to be constructed in Jewar.

It will be named Noida International Greenfield Airport, while a picture of stork the state bird will be used in its logo. The upcoming international airport will be designed on the lines of airports in London, Moscow and Milan.

The airport will lead to the development of industrial infrastructure that will increase job opportunities, encourage manufacturing and exports.

The airport is proposed to be built in four phases. The initial capacity of the airport will be 12 million passengers per year, which will be expanded to 70 million passengers per year by 2050.

Initially, it will have two runways which will be increased to five in due course of time. The concessionaire has presented the master plan to Noida International Airport, which has submitted it to the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation.

A total of 1,334 ha for the airport have been acquired by the Gautam Buddha Nagar administration and 48.097 ha have been acquired for rehabilitation purpose.
