Effective coal tar tapes

Rustech is India's largest manufacturer of coal tar tapes. The company's manufacturing facilities in Kolkata and Mumbai have a capacity of over 30 lakh sq. mt per annum. It plans to introduce epoxy coatings and expanded polyethylene cross-linked coatings for internal pipe surfaces.
"Rustech has been instrumental in the shift from polymeric tapes to coal tar tapes," Shreekant Pattar, Director, says. "In fact, the recent IS 15337:2203 clearly states that only coal tar tapes are to be used for corrosion protection of underground pipelines (and not bitumen tapes)."
The company has catered to Engineers India Ltd and other major consultants. At present, Rustech is serving Gujarat Water Resources Development Corporation Ltd, Narmada Water Resources Development Corporation Ltd, IOC Panipat, NTPC Sipat, Vedanta Langigarh and major cross-country pipelines.
Other Rustech products are: cold applied tapes (polyolefin, PVC backed), alkyd resin tapes, petrolatum tapes, coal tar enamel, outerwrap, waterproofing membranes, coal tar and asphalt coatings conforming to IS, AWWA and BS standards.
