Mulayam kicks off 17 projects

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has announced a spate of projects even as he was laying the foundation stones for 17 projects worth nearly 63 crore. The CM promised to provide Rs 80 crore for the construction of Kolaghar bridge and for the development of Nagar Palika, Shahjahanpur, Jalalabad, Tilhar and Nagar Panchayat Katra, and Kant. In all, 103 bridges would be constructed in the state.
Mulayam Singh also recently laid the foundation stone of a housing colony at Allaganj (Rs 1.37 crore); 50 houses being constructed by DUDA under the Valmiki Avas Yojana (Rs 20 lakh); four road projects by PWD (Rs 2.33 crore); 6 roads of the State Krishi Utpadan Parishad (Rs 1.7 crore), Niyamatpur-Tilak Marg bridge on river Khannit (Rs 2.7 crore); bridge on river Bahgul on the Gariha Rangin Jaitipur road (Rs 2.9 crore); Devha bridge on Khudaganj Nigohi road (Rs. 3.5 crore); strengthening of power supply in Shahjahanpur city (Rs 44 lakh); and, construction of district BSA office (Rs 2.4 crore).
