Oriental Metal Works seeks new markets
By A Special Correspondent
Aluminium pressure die-castings and coatings are the latest technologies used in the manufacture of aluminium builders hardware products. "Oriental Metal Works is coming up with new commercial builders hardware products," says Susheel Chaudhary, Managing Partner, of the company.
Oriental Metal Works, established in 1979, manufactures brass, aluminium, black antique and ironmongery and builders architectural hardware with all in-house manufacturing and finishing facilities. Today, the company boasts a turnover of $4.5 million annually.
According to Chaudhary, irregular supply of electricity and high tariff, poor road infrastructure, especially between Aligarh and Mumbai, increase in raw materials prices, corruption and red tape were the real impediments to the growth of companies like Oriental Metal Works. "Our company is exploring new markets for its products and is trying to catch hold of customers having a turnover of more than Rs 5 crore," says Susheel. OMW exports to UK-based importers and distributors as also to USA and Australia.
