PM News Bureau

The National Highway Authority of India will construct flyovers, grade separators and underpass for Chennai. The total cost is estimated at Rs 200 crore. The project includes grade separators at Kathipara, Koyambedu and Padi junctions, a flyover at NH-45 opposite Chennai airport and an underpass connecting Tirusulam railway station and Meenambakkam airport.
While the grade separator at Kathipara junction will have full clover leaf grade separated intersection, the grade separators at Koyambedu intersection will have a semi-clover leaf grade separated intersection. A grade separated elevated four-lane rotary with an outer diameter of 99 metres and one railway overbridge towards Villivakkam is planned at Padi intersection. In addition, NH-4 from Koyambedu junction to Maduravoyal would be widened.
