REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC Limited under the Ministry of Power, has transferred the Rajasthan IV-A Power Transmission Limited project to Apraava Energy Private Limited (AEPL). This project will help channel power from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phase-IV (Jaisalmer/Barmer Complex).
AEPL was selected as the Transmission Service Provider through a competitive tariff-based bidding process organized by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. The project will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) basis.
It involves constructing a 765/400 kV, 4×1500 MVA and 400/220 kV, 5×500 MVA Pooling Station at Fategarh-IV, along with 184.56 km of 400 kV transmission line and other related infrastructure.
The handover was conducted by Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, to Mr. Naveen Munjal, Director (BD) of AEPL, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, AEPL, and the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The project is expected to be completed within two years.
