Marking a pivotal step in enhancing regional connectivity, the Prime Minister inaugurated a 13-km segment of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, spanning from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar, at an estimated cost of ₹4,600 crore. This development introduces Delhi’s first Namo Bharat connectivity, significantly improving travel between Delhi and Meerut. The corridor promises high-speed, comfortable, and reliable transit for millions of commuters.
Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated a 2.8-km stretch between Janakpuri and Krishna Park, part of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, constructed at an approximate cost of ₹1,200 crore. This marks the first operational segment of Phase-IV and will benefit West Delhi areas, including Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri.
The foundation stone was also laid for the 26.5-km Rithala-Kundli section of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, valued at ₹6,230 crore. This corridor will connect Rithala in Delhi with Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, enhancing connectivity in the northwestern regions of Delhi and Haryana. Key areas such as Rohini, Bawana, Narela, and Kundli will gain improved access to residential, commercial, and industrial hubs. Once completed, this extended Red Line will enable seamless travel across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
Lastly, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a new, state-of-the-art campus for the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini, New Delhi, with a budget of ₹185 crore. The facility will feature advanced healthcare infrastructure, including an Administrative Block, OPD Block, IPD Block, and a specialized Treatment Block, offering integrated healthcare and research opportunities.
